This story introduces Micah, who would rather be called Kaptain Kidd. He meets the Brain Family, a family of dragons who live deep in the woods. They teach Micah how important it is for his brain parts to work together so that he’s connected to both his logical and emotional selves. When his brain is coordinated it doesn’t feel “mushy, gushy.” Micah also wants a family of his own, and the story has a happy ending when the dragons adopt him. This tale sets the stage for the exciting adventures and learning experiences that Micah and the dragons have in the following stories.
